Summary:

Public Schools Month has been sponsored by the Free and Accepted Masons of California since 1920. The purpose of Public Schools Month is to urge communities and educational institutions to appropriately observe the efforts of teachers, administrators, and students of the public schools system.
The public schools are vital partners in training America's workforce and are responsible not only for sound instructional programs which prepare and equip our youth to have productive lives as adults but also for instilling in our children a love of freedom and appreciation for the benefits of living in a democratic society.
