The Silver Valley High School Track and Field Team will be participating in the upcoming CIF Events. Below are the details for each stage of the competition:
CIF Preliminary Event
* Date & Location: May 9-10, 2025, Carpinteria High School, Carpinteria, CA
* Arrival Time: The team must arrive at the field one hour before the race start time.
* Travel Arrangements: Due to the distance from Fort Irwin, the team will depart on Friday, May 9, 2025, at 12:15 p.m., and stay overnight in a local hotel. This allows for proper rest and ensures early arrival. The team will return to Silver Valley High School after the meet concludes on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at approximately 9:00 p.m.
Team Details:
Participants: 25 students
Chaperones: 2 adults
Transportation: The team will travel using a district vehicle.
CIF Finals (if the team advances)
* Date & Location: May 16-17, 2025, Moorpark High School, Moorpark, CA
* Travel Arrangements: Similar to the preliminaries, the team will depart on Friday, May 16, 2025, at 12:15 p.m., and stay in a local hotel, returning to Silver Valley High School after the meet concludes on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at approximately 9:00 p.m.

It is recommended that the Governing Board of Trustees approve the Silver Valley High School Track and Field Team to travel overnight for the CIF Preliminaries May 9-10, 2025 and CIF Finals May 16-17, 2025, as presented.
