Summary: Silver Valley USD MOF truck fleet is in need of replacement due to age and high mileage on engines. The current economy has made it very difficult to procure new trucks due to extraordinarily high costs and limited availability.

Six work trucks have, on average, over 150K miles on them. To extend the life of the vehicles, lessen costs, and circumvent the high costs and limited availability of purchasing new trucks, we are looking to replace the engines in these six work trucks.

Each engine is a certified remanufactured engine with a 3-year / 36,000 mile warranty. Two engines will be replaced by Victorville Chevy, and four engines will be replaced by Big Apple Auto.

We expect this to give us an additional 3-5 years, minimum, of life for these work trucks.
Funding: Operations:
VV Chevy, $14,551.24
Big Apple Auto, $31,916.16
