Summary: Newberry Springs Elementary School has a few areas of concrete that need repairs. The areas in question are a potential for tripping hazards, insurance claims and require remediation.

The areas for concrete work are: Hallway near classroom one, replace uneven cracked section. Replace section of walkway between library and restrooms that is cracked and uneven. Replace entire outside patio area near the canopied general assembly area. The existing area is cracked and uneven.

While the repair work is being performed, the staff and students have requested a concreted area for general outdoor use and activities. This area would be located to the east of the outdoor basketball courts and under the two Maple trees. This area will provide staff and students a safe and clean area for their use.
Funding: Maintenance Funds: $39,483.00.
Performance and Payment Bond: $1500.00
Recommendation: It is recommended that the Governing Board of Trustees approve the concrete work at Newberry Springs Elementary School with Bradley General Building.
