Summary:
|
The District previously initiated a transition to by-trustee area election system. The transition to by-trustee areas was to be completed after the release of the 2020 Census. The 2020 Census has recently been released and the District will now proceed forward with the steps necessary to complete the transition. The present steps in the process include the holding of a pre-map public hearing. The Governing Board will convene a public hearing to receive public testimony concerning the composition of potential trustee voting areas associated with the District’s transition to a by-trustee area election system in advance of the preparation of draft trustee voting area plans by a demographer.
