Summary:
|
SVHS Cross Country Team may be participating in the cross-country CIF State Finals on Saturday, November 18, 2023, which will take place in Walnut, CA depending on the outcome of the local cross-country meet that will be taking place on Saturday, November 11, 2023. The CIF State Finals race will begin at 7:45 a.m. and the team is required to be at the field one hour prior to the start of the race. Due to the location of this meet, the time this meet begins, and students having to travel from Fort Irwin, it is recommended that the team leave the night before (Friday, November 17, 2023) at 3:00 p.m. and stay in a local hotel for the evening to allow for proper rest and an early arrival and then return on Saturday, November 18, 2023, after the Cross Country Meet is over. Should the team advance to the next level, the next cross-country CIF State Finals will take place in Fresno, CA on November 25, 2023, beginning at 8:30 a.m. which will require another overnight stay in a local hotel. The team will leave on Friday, November 24, 2023, and return on Saturday, November 25, 2023, after the Cross Country Meet is over. There are eight (8) potential students participating in this event, and there will be two (2) chaperones attending. The team will be traveling via a district vehicle. |
