Summary:
|
The 5th-grade students at Newberry Springs Elementary School, Tiefort View Intermediate School, and Yermo School have been accepted to attend the Emerald Cove Outdoor Science Institute located in Big Bear, CA. Each of the schools has attended the camp in the past and believes it is a great program. The students will attend the Emerald Cove site on May 6-10, 2024, and will be transported by school bus. Each site will be sending chaperones to stay at the camp with their students. |

The cost is $453 per student plus transportation NSES: 18 students = $ 8,154 TVIS: 100 students = $ 45,300 Yermo: 28 students = $ 12,684 Total anticipated tuition: $ 66,138 All expenses will be covered through fundraising, donations, grants, PTOs, and general unrestricted funds. |

It is recommended that the Governing Board of Trustees approve the overnight field trip request for the 5th-grade students from Newberry Springs Elementary School, Tiefort View Intermediate School, and Yermo School to attend the Outdoor Science Camp being held in Big Bear, CA from May 6-10, 2024. |
