To align with Education Code requirements and to avoid scheduling conflicts, here are the recommended updates to the board meeting calendar:
Annual Organizational Meeting Date:
Current Date: December 10, 2024
New Proposed Date: December 17, 2024
Reason: Compliance with Education Code sections 5017, 35143, and 72000, which mandate the annual organizational meeting occur within fifteen days starting from the second Friday in December.
February Meeting Date Change:
Current Date: February 11, 2025
New Proposed Date: February 4, 2025
Reason: To accommodate board members and administrators attending the NAFIS Federal Relations Outreach scheduled for February 9-11, 2025.
Implementing these changes will ensure compliance with statutory requirements and support full participation in important external events. |
