Summary:
During the week of Spring Break, a major propane gas leak was discovered on the underground 3-inch main line at Fort Irwin MS. Due to the significant fire and explosion risk, it was treated as an emergency. Ft. Irwin DPW was notified and responded promptly to turn off the gas at the meter. To make the necessary repairs to the gas line a tree had to be removed, along with the roots that were intertwined with the gas line. All repairs were completed before school resumed the following Monday.
